Blackberry so called tips

I just got myself a Blackberry curve 8900 unlocked and the best of all
is that my telco doesn't support Blackberry services. Now what I'm
about to write is some tips to go about making full use of your
Blackberries even though your carrier does not support.

What you need to have on your mobile plan:
A) Gprs/Edge support plan

What you need for surfing wiresless:
A) Any unlock WEP wifi hotspots or lock but passwords provided

Note: very important to do a battery pull reboot after setting up your
wifi connections

What you need to surf on your Edge/Gprs?

A) Opera mini or BOLT browser

What you need to connect to IMs like WindowsLive,Yahoo,Aim,ICQ,Gtalk:

A) Nimbuzz

Note: It even supports both Edge/Gprs and wifi

Now all of these apps has been tested by myself but then again it
might vary from set to set. If you know any good tips or apps which
runs without a blackberry data plan, please post it and share with all.

Twitter new office 2009

Twitter's new HQ. It's really nice facelift compare to the old one. Sometimes i wonder how they make money all these while when the service is FREE.

Christmas carol

Christmas is already here with the launch of the worlds largest virtual Christmas tree to help celebrate the launch of Disney’s Jim Carrey holiday blockbuster - A Christmas Carol.

The virtual Christmas tree is an application which allows users to create and share their very own Christmas ornaments across social networks around the world.

This viral application integrates with Facebook Connect and a Widget to challenge you to grow the tree higher than the worlds tallest landmarks and track which countries are leading the tally of ornament creators.

Tweetie and Flickr

Now you don't need to migrate image services like yfrog or Twitpic, if you're an existing Flickr user who tweets on an iphone, you can now upload your images to your Flickr acc and tweet using Tweetie 2 thru GDZLA.

Nokia patent

Nokia's no stranger to the patent application process here in the United States, and while we've certainly seen some strange ones emanating from its R&D labs, this one looks like something that should be implemented on the double. Explained as a "user interface for controlling an electronic device," the multitouch solution would essentially allow you to pinch, zoom and rotate objects as usual, but it would also employ an array of pressure sensors in order to give your motions a sense of severity. If executed properly, one could theoretically envision the use of a strong push to simulate a double tap (for example), or as a means to activate a secondary function that generally requires another button press or the use of a 'Function' key. Hit the read link for all the mumbo jumbo, but be sure to keep your expectations within check. Or not.
